A local station, which will remain unnamed, does a weekday feature in which for thirty minutes they play theme related songs. Recently, the theme was motel and hotel songs. One of the handful they squeezed in was the classic “King of The Road” by Roger Miller. Is it a great song? Yes. Does it mention the possibility of renting a room? Yes. Does it specify this room is in a motel or hotel? No. Are the words hotel or motel referenced anywhere in the song? No. Then, we must conclude, that this is not a hotel or motel song. Sorry, local station…you missed the mark on this one. And that’s how you bitch! Enjoy episode 222, kids!
